The managing editor will coordinate all efforts for the established Connections magazine and a new magazine in development, both disseminated to thousands of K-12 education stakeholders statewide in print and digital versions. In this capacity, the managing editor will serve as main feature writer for these publications, as well as manage trafficking of written content, versions and final drafts of stories to appropriate staff; manage social media for the publications; and collaborate closely with the RCU’s editor designers on print and web publications. The managing editor will be responsible for ensuring the department’s editorial standards are met; the magazine’s overall production schedule stays on track; and the publications’ quality is high.
