Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate teaching and advisement; supervision of practicum and internship; conducting research; and providing service and outreach. This program is CACREP accredited and faculty work closely with area schools, community colleges and clinical settings. Students in the program obtain a Master of Science degree with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling or a Specialist degree in Education with a Counseling concentration.
Doctorate in Counselor Education with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and/or School Counseling or a closely related field; demonstration of excellence in teaching, research and/or service (Associate Professor) or demonstration of potential for excellence in these areas (Assistant Professor). ABD's will be considered if the degree will be completed by August 15, 2018. Level of appointment is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):
Doctoral degree from a CACREP accredited program; eligibility for LPC licensure and/or licensure as a School Counselor in Mississippi and experience as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and/or School Counselor.
