Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate teaching and advisement; supervision of practicum and internship; and providing service and outreach. This program is CACREP accredited and faculty work closely with area schools, community colleges and clinical settings. Students in the program obtain a Master of Science degree with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling or a Specialist degree in Education with Counseling concentration.
Doctorate in Counselor Education with an emphasis in School Counseling or a closely related field; demonstration of excellence in teaching, and/or service (Associate Clinical Professor) or demonstration of potential for excellence in these areas (Assistant Clinical Professor). ABD's will be considered if the degree will be completed by August 15, 2019. Level of appointment is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):
Doctoral degree from a CACREP accredited program; eligibility for licensure as a School Counselor in Mississippi; and experience as a School Counselor. Additional experience and eligibility for licensure as Clinical Mental Health Counselor is desired.
