Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a part-time, 12 month appointment which will be renewed annually based on performance. Required duties include assisting in laboratory management, experiment design and performance, data collection and analysis, and manuscript preparation. Additionally the successful candidate will be required to:

1. Have good communication skills for teamwork.
2. Master essential experimental skills for molecular biology.
3. Master computational biology techniques (e.g., Phyton, Bio-phyton and/or R package).
4. Expected to be familiar with both butterfly and plant experimental systems based on the nature of the projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. in Biological Sciences with demonstrated competence in computational biology techniques.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with the education and/or experience of the candidate.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Biological Sciences.

Certification or publication would be helpful to prove skill in computational biology techniques.
A background with knowledge of plant pathology is preferred.
