This position will be housed in the Coastal Research and Extension Center in Biloxi, MS and also have an affiliation with the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium.

Environmental Education, Climate Science, and Project Coordination
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop curriculum materials based on guidance and input from Project Team and Advisory Panel. Design, plan, implement, and facilitate education focused workshops and summits with guidance and input from the Project Team. Advertise and solicit participation in workshops and beta testing from coastal educators in Alabama and Mississippi. Coordinate the Project Team and the Advisory Panel including scheduling and hosting monthly calls, soliciting and responding to feedback, and following-up on action items. Present progress and methods to partners and stakeholders at relevant meetings and conferences. Prepare project reports. Contribute to extension and/or journal publications. Maintain records for travel, purchasing, and other associated logistics for the project. Generally keeping the project progressing on schedule and meeting all milestones. Support other Cooperative projects and partners through a variety of duties such as logistics, facilitation, developing and sharing communication materials, review materials, etc. The successful candidate may also contribute to other education or research focused projects or subprograms related to the Mississippi State University/Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Coastal Conservation and Restoration Program. Bachelor’s degree with major course work in a curriculum appropriate for the field of assignment.
Extension, outreach, and project coordination experience. Familiarity with sea-level rise, Gulf Coast stakeholders, and curriculum development. Knowledge of current state environmental science curriculum standards, program evaluation experience. Independent worker while being a productive member of a team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and skills in using Microsoft Office Suites especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint; web site management; and Google Docs/Sheets.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
1. Ability to travel for multiple days at a time.
2. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
