Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate is responsible for developing and researching on Emerging unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Network and Safety and Operations Implications on National Aerospace Systems Integration.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in civil, mechanical, aerospace or any related engineering area
  • experience in connected vehicle research on traffic systems

ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in FHWA open source traffic simulations
  • Background in advanced computing
  • Traffic Operation Management Research Experience
  • A record of successful scientific publications
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Traffic Operation Management Research Experience
  • Experience with programming (C++ and Fortran)
  • Deep knowledge of traffic network simulation and optimization
  • Familiarity with UAV and UAV operations
