Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching responsibilities will involve didactic and clinical training for veterinary professional students, graduate students, house officers and veterinary medical technology students enrolled in the academic program. Service responsibilities involve emergency duty, primary and secondary clinical case management, and consultation with private practitioners. The emergency clinician will be expected to take a leadership role in improving the quality of the MSU-CVM Animal Health Center Emergency Service, enhancing the quality of patient care and teaching in our Emergency/ICU senior veterinary student rotation, and consulting with our affiliated clinics to improve patient care. Participation in research projects and continuing education programs is also expected.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent degree, and extensive
experience as a small animal emergency veterinarian.
