The AAI Program Manager does the following: (1) supports the AAI Director and Associate Director in organizational, business, and operational tasks; (2) assists Associate Director in management of projects; (3) assists in liaison with funding agencies and related organizations and individuals; and (4) assists in development of research and workforce development proposals.

The selected candidate will primarily work in one of the following areas: artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, unmanned vehicle platforms, and sensing systems (e.g., polarimetric cameras, acoustic arrays, and mm-wave radars), applied towards detection, estimating, localization of hazards in subterranean environment. The selected candidate will assist advising the graduate students and support the analysis of each sensor modality used in the effort, the mounting and integration of the sensors on different subterranean unmanned vehicle platforms (e.g., Boston Dynamics Spot, Clearpath Husky, and SuperDroid Robots), the integration and validation of the platform communication system, and the generation of presentations and publications.

He/She will engage with researchers, developers, industry, educators, and diverse local and global communities. The individual will be compensated from research contracts.
