Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following examples serve to illustrate the various types of duties assigned to this position. The absence of specific statements of duties does not preclude assignment of additional duties deemed suitable and appropriate for this position.
- Teach undergraduate (or possible split-level undergraduate/graduate) courses within the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.
- Serve as, or aid, the Undergraduate Program Coordinator for the department.
- Serve on appropriate Industrial Engineering committees as requested (e.g. the Undergraduate Program Committee and program ABET assessment activities).
- Perform academic advising of undergraduate students.
- Help with student recruiting.
- Other appropriate duties as assigned.
B.S. and M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):
Proven experience in teaching undergraduate industrial engineering courses with strong student evaluations. Industry experience relevant to the industrial engineering profession.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The desired applicant will have a practical, experiential expertise in the field of industrial engineering and in teaching industrial engineering undergraduates.
