The Department of Agricultural Economics at Mississippi State University is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral researcher to work in the areas of environmental and natural resource economics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will contribute to an interdisciplinary team developing a model of coupled natural and human coastal and marine ecosystems for the Gulf of Mexico region. The successful candidate will be under the direct supervision of Drs. Daniel Petrolia and Seong Yun and will work with multi-institutional and multidisciplinary researchers.
A Ph.D. in Applied/Agricultural Economics, Economics, or related field completed by August, 2021
Specialization in environmental and natural resource economics or closely related fields
Strong analytical and quantitative skills related to environmental and natural resource economics
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience working with coastal and marine resource issues and data
Experience with at least one of the following: (a) contingent valuation/choice experiments, (b) natural capital asset pricing, (c) applied econometrics in environmental and natural resource economics, (d) bio-economic modelling
Experience with R, Stata, or similar software (If applicants have experience developing and contributing programming codes and/or other related resources to CRAN, GitHub, or another online repository, please include this information in your CV explicitly.)
