Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following examples are intended as illustrations only of the various types of duties assigned to this position. The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.

1. Teach courses in Secondary Education (4/4 load).
2. Supervise Secondary Education majors in field placement.
3. Advise students who enroll in Education.
4. Perform additional and/or other duties as appropriate including recruiting students for the Secondary Education program.
5. Summer teaching may be available if desired.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate in Middle or Secondary Education or closely related field with concentration in Secondary Education, and a minimum of 3 years experience teaching at the middle or secondary school level.

ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):

Yes

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in higher education; experience in online education; national board certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellence in teaching and Interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
