To assist in the diagnostic microbiology area of the Department of Pathobiology and Population Medicine.
Salary Grade: 13

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform aerobic and anerobic culture, perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
2. Initiate workup on specimens with suspected fungal pathogens.
3. ID and report test results.
4. Maintain QA documents, adhere to QA program.
5. Participate and lead laboratory organization and inventory
Bachelors of Science degree with major course work in an appropriate field
Two years of post-secondary training or education in a life sciences field or other field appropriate for the
assignment and two years of related lab work
Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or education approved by the Department of
Human Resources Management
