The Chemistry department is housed in Hand Laboratory and is part of the College of Arts & Sciences, offering B.S, M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. The Department has 110 graduate students and 85 undergraduate majors. Additional information is available at http://www.chemistry.msstate.edu.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ability to manager a large lecturer section and instruct students in General and/or Organic or Inorganic Chemistry courses. Prepare group exams with other Chemistry faculty. Hold required office hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Chemistry

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. in organic chemistry or a related area are strongly preferred, but a terminal degree is not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. Applicants with prior teaching experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

Work is performed within a teaching lecture hall.
