Salary Grade:  UC

For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate is responsible for supporting the teaching and outreach mission of the department and performing assigned administrative duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related area with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program.

Level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Professional and academic experience.
A potential for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level in several areas of the civil engineering program.
Preference for candidates with a Professional Engineering license.
The ideal candidate would be able to teach a diverse array of courses with primary emphasis being courses in transportation, construction materials, and/or geotechnical engineering.
