A postdoc position is available in the Smith lab in the Department of Biology at Mississippi State University. Our research focuses on developing methods for analyzing genomic data in an evolutionary context, and applies these methods to study species diversification. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of machine learning approaches in population genetics and phylogenetics. The candidate will also be encouraged to pursue other projects within the broader scope of the labs’ interests.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Ph.D. at time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in population genetics or phylogenetics is preferred.
