Assistant Professor (specializing in wireless communications (including but not limited to mmWave, microwave, THz, RF, free-space optical, transmitter/receiver designs, and antennae)) within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, conducting research, teaching, and service.

Department Profile:

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University consists of 27 faculty members (including six endowed professors), 7 professional staff, and over 700 undergraduate and graduate students, with approximately 100 being at the Ph.D. level. The department consistently records research expenditures of more than $10M annually. The department houses the largest High Voltage Laboratory among North American Universities and is home to the NSF Advance Wireless Testbed - AERPAW. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Research: Performs and publishes research in the areas of interest; obtains research grants/contracts with the federal government and private industry.
Teaching: Teaches courses in the areas of interest at the undergraduate and graduate level; advises undergraduate students; guides graduate students in thesis and dissertations in the areas of interest.
Service: Provides service as needed by the unit and to the research community.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field (ABDs may be considered). The rank will be at the Assistant Professor level.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to individuals with a substantial record of peer-reviewed publications, a demonstrated ability to secure external funding, and a record of teaching at undergraduate/graduate levels.
