Position Function:
This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Information Services in the Division of Development and Alumni. The primary duties include the installation, maintenance, and support of software systems and hardware systems in support of the Division of Development and Alumni, training staff on technologies and system use. This position also provides assistance to the Division of Development and Alumni Executive Director of Information Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Recommend, purchase, and install technology for the Division of Development and Alumni
2. Train and support staff on the use of software and hardware
3. Provide technical setup, support, and diagnostics on information technology related hardware including computers, smartphones, tablets, printers, and scanners
4. Work closely with Information Technology Services personnel on selection and installation of technology
5. Monitor staff technological needs and assist in providing appropriate resolution to those requests
6. Maintain relationships with appropriate university units and within Division of Development and Alumni to keep abreast of policy and procedural changes
7. Assist with inventory control within Division of Development and Alumni. Submit required information on the purchase of equipment and furniture to MSU Foundation Finance and apply identification numbers and labels to university and division property
8. Maintain computerized inventory records of all property belonging to the division and prepare periodic reports for internal and external reporting
9. Conduct regular audits to determine status and location of current equipment
10. Serve as backup in performing data extraction processes from CRM system for importing into other Development and Alumni information systems
11. Provide assistance to the Division of Development and Alumni Executive Director as needed
12. Interact and maintain up to date procedures and mechanisms in place regarding PCI compliance
13. Provide support for AV needs for face to face and virtual meetings
14. Perform related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a focus in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Two years' experience directly related to the duties and resposibilities specified

Preferred Qualifications:
- Video streaming, electronic classroom, and online technologies
- Working knowledge of Windows server and Linux client and server administration
- Good understanding of local area networks, with emphasis on TCP /IP, firewalls, wireless and Ethernet
- PCI compliance
- Desktop support
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on computers and audio/video equipment
• Experience in installing and maintaining Windows operating systems
• Experience in installing and maintaining MacOS
• Experience in maintaining OS system images in a corporate environment
• Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe software, and engineering related software packages
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and personal initiative
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- The ability to manipulate a variety of office equipment
- No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility
- Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor
- Job frequently requires sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
