Position Function:
The Nancy fair Link Laminitis Research Center (NFL-LRC) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Equine Laminitis, beginning as early as Spring 2026 with the option to postpone the start date to August 2026. The initial appointment is for two years. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of NFL-LRC faculty. Interested candidates are encouraged to explore the profile of tenured and tenure-track faculty to identify potential matches with their research interests. Strong applicants from all aspects of laminitis are encouraged to apply; however, the greatest interest is for applicants with interest in one or more of the following topics: genetics, metabolomics, proteomics, molecular biology and endocrinology.
Salary Grade: UC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Participate in research.
2. Participate in training graduate students.
3. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements for a postdoctoral position include a doctoral degree at the start date of the position with a preference for recent PhDs, and an interest in pursuing original research.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in equine or veterinary science.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Personal computer skills
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative
• Positive attitude and pleasant disposition
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
• No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and majority of work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
• Externally imposed deadlines, set or revised on short notice, frequent shifts in priority, numerous interruptions requiring immediate attention, unusual pressure on a daily basis due to accountability for success for major projects or areas of operation.
• Job frequently requires sitting, reaching, talking, and hearing.
• Job occasionally requires standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
