Assistant Research Professor 010300 - Ag & Bio Engineering Main Campus - Starkville, MS
The Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Mississippi State University invites applicants for a non-tenure track, 12-month, assistant research professor position to conduct research on the effects of commercial-scale poultry management practices on bacterial pathogen transmission and mitigation, microbial ecology, and controlled environment animal health and production. The position will have a 100% research appointment and be housed at Mississippi State University. The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with researchers at the USDA ARS Poultry Research Unit, other departments at MSU, and other universities. Candidates with experience and expertise in all areas of agricultural and biosystems engineering and technology will be considered, but those with strengths in commercial poultry health and production systems, poultry litter management, bacterial pathogen control, and biochar applications are preferred.
Research Associate I 010300 - Ag & Bio Engineering Main Campus - Starkville, MS
This is a full time, 12-month appointment contingent on available funding. The appointee will assist with research activities related to plant and animal production systems and the application of precision technologies in production agriculture. The appointee will also be responsible for coordination of labor and activities in the ABE Machine Shop and other duties as assigned by principal investigator.

The Department of Agricultural & Biological Engineering at Mississippi State University invites applications for a tenure track, 12-month, assistant/associate professor position in agricultural and biological engineering focused on “precision technologies” and their application to confined animal production and cropping systems. This Position will have a 100% Extension appointment. Applicants should be committed to excellence in Extension programming and informal teaching and be able to articulate a prospective applied research program that meets the needs of associated agricultural industries in Mississippi and the United States. Candidates with experience and expertise in all areas of agricultural and biosystems engineering and technology will be considered, but those with strengths in “precision technologies” including electronics, programming, artificial intelligence, sensing, control systems, and robotics, as well as in controlled environment animal production systems (particularly poultry) and/or crop production are preferred.
