The Assistant Director of Programs will serve as a key advisor to the Center Director and provide strategic leadership across all major programs at the MSU Advanced Composites Institute (ACI). This role will encompass oversight of the Mississippi Advanced Composites Training Center but will also have significant leadership responsibilities in research and development, program management, and business operations. The Assistant Director will lead the business management team, the research program management team, the workforce development team, and the outreach team, ensuring the successful execution of ACI’s comprehensive mission. This position is pivotal in strategically positioning ACI for long-term growth and impact, aligning its programs with industry, academic, and governmental partners. |

Manages a variety of activities, projects, grants, and requests for services from external clients and customers, as well as internal MSU and Advanced Composites Institute (ACI) related projects. The project manager will plan and implement projects associated with advanced manufacturing, resin infusion, and resin transfer molding. This position will be primarily focused on our industry-related partners like Boeing, Aurora Flight Sciences, and Northrop Grumman as well as our long-standing research efforts with the Federal Aviation Administration. This individual may be required to manage and lead a team as necessary to complete the project. The projects are manufacturing-related and will require working in a cross-functional team environment where multiple priorities and deadlines must be managed simultaneously. |
