The Department of Chemistry is housed in the Hand Laboratory Building, is part of the College of Arts and Sciences, and offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. The department has approximately 70 graduate students and 140 undergraduate chemistry majors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Expected to establish an independent, externally-funded research program, and have a record of excellence in research and a commitment to teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels as well as service to the department, university, and community as assigned.
Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field, with a demonstrated record of research accomplishments.
ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):
One year Postdoctoral experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to teach chemistry at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Research experience in biological or physical chemistry.
