The department currently has 11 tenured or tenure-track faculty, one research faculty, two lecturers, 23 adjunct faculty, 485 undergraduate students and 94 graduate students. The department offers an EAC/ABET-accredited undergraduate program in civil engineering with an option for a concentration in environmental engineering. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A core mission of CEE is to provide students a sophomore-level elementary surveying course. This course is also taken by students in the Building Construction Sciences and Agricultural Engineering Technology & Business programs. Advanced courses are offered on land surveying and control surveying which support those from all three programs wishing to pursue licensure as a Professional Surveyor. The responsibilities of this position are to support this teaching mission of the department. Other assignments might be assigned as mutually agreed, including course development, offering additional courses, performing assigned administrative duties, or more.
-Master of Science or Master of Arts degree in the surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
-Consideration will be given to individuals with only a BA/BS if they have 18 credit hours in the subject area or extensive experience.
ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):
Preference will be given to candidates with a Professional Surveyor license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills as well as professional and academic experience is highly desirable.
