The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine has an immediate opening for a clinical faculty position in Small Animal Internal Medicine

Salary Grade:  UC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching responsibilities involve didactic teaching and clinical training of professional students, interns, residents, and graduate students. Service responsibilities involve clinical case management, rotating emergency duty, and consultation with private practitioners. Clinical duties in the Small Animal Medicine service will be shared with four other faculty members. The service currently has three residents enrolled in an ACVIM-approved three-year combined residency and thesis-driven master’s program.

Minimum Qualifications:

DVM or equivalent degree. Ability to obtain licensure in Mississippi.

ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):

No

Preferred Qualifications:

Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine is preferred, but residency-trained individuals eligible for final certification examination will also be considered. An advanced degree and experience in clinical research are desirable.
