The College of Veterinary Medicine, Mississippi State University, is seeking applications for the Director of the Poultry Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (PRDL).

Salary Grade:  UC

For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is in Pearl, MS and serves the Mississippi commercial poultry industry and backyard poultry producers. Major responsibilities for this position include oversight of the poultry diagnostic laboratory including personnel, equipment, and facility; interaction with the State Animal Health Official in cases of reportable poultry disease; and outreach with the commercial poultry industry. The Director oversees the DVM teaching experiences and Residency training programs offered by PRDL faculty.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have a DVM degree or equivalent with experience in avian (poultry) medicine, and Diplomate status in the American College of Poultry Veterinarians (ACPV). Demonstrated ability to work in teams is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

Must be a current employee.
