Provide support for the Fan Experience unit to develop strategies to create a premier fan experience at Mississippi State.

Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Assistant Athletic Director of Fan Experience with the overall Fan Experience efforts in all Mississippi State Athletic Sports.
2. Responsible for the creation and implementation of the Fan Experience Plan for Women’s Soccer.
3. Serve as the primary contact for the Charitable Request Program.
4. Serve as a secondary fan experience lead for either Men’s or Women’s Basketball.
5. Schedule and coordinate halftime entertainment and promotions for Men’s and Women’s Basketball.
6. Assist in the planning and coordination of Hail State Tailgate and Bully’s Fan Zone at home football games.
7. Assist in the coordination of other special events including Super Bulldog Weekend, Cowbell Yell, Maroon Madness, etc.
8. Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience workings or volunteering in a collegiate Fan Experience and/or Marketing department.
2. Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Sport Studies, Sport Administration major, or related field.
3. Working Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
4. Working Knowledge of Collegiate Sports and NCAA Guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Excellent oral communications skills, written communications skills, and customer service skills.
2. Exhibit strong time management skills.
3. Ability to multi-task, stay organized, keep up with high-energy, fast passed environment.
4. Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

1. No unusual physical requirements. Requires occasional light lifting.
2. Ability to work night and weekends.
3. Frequent external imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one’s control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
4. Job occasionally requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
5. Job occasionally requires standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
6. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
