The Program Manager for Continuous Improvement and Assessment will collaborate with faculty and staff be on the Department of Teacher Education and Leadership (TEAL) to ensure that programs meet mandated requirements set forth by the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE), the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), Specialized Professional Associations (SPAs) and the University. Additionally, the Program Manager will collaborate with faculty and staff to meet the following goals related to continuous improvement and program assessment: support data collection and monitoring, provide feedback to appropriate stakeholders, use evidence gained from data to increase the effectiveness of teacher preparation and educational leadership programs, and complete written reports related to program review and accreditation (i.e., MDE, CAEP, and Institutional Effectiveness and maintain syllabi related to program review and standards).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with TEAL faculty and staff in teacher preparation and educational leadership programs to ensure that data are consistently and systematically collected, analyzed, disseminated, and used to make data
driven decisions regarding program changes and improvements.
2. Work directly with the TEAL faculty and staff to determine appropriate assessments needed to
meet state and national accreditation standards.
3 Work with faculty and staff to ensure assessments are reliable and valid to meet accreditation standards.
4. Monitor activities in Canvas and Watermark/TaskStream related to assessment and data
collection and assist in developing rubrics for program assessments.
5. Assist with the preparation of all assessment reports for teacher education and educational leadership programs in the department.
6. Coordinate, monitor, and compile data collection each academic semester to include: Grade Point Average, Portfolios, State Testing Requirements (Praxis), Employer Satisfaction Surveys, Professional Dispositions, Key Assessments
from Individual Courses, Other Data Collected for TEAL Programs. (Campus 1,2, and 5)
7. Collaborate with faculty on syllabi requirements and updates includeind curriculum mapping to standards to meet MDE and accreditation requirements.
8. Work closely with the Dean’s office to ensure compliance with program review and accreditation requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Teacher Education or a closely related field.

Experience(yrs.) Three years directly related to the job duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or higher in Teacher Education or a closely related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a
wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
2. Ability to provide technical coordination and management of development and/or implementation projects in area of expertise.
3. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
4. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
5. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
6. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
7. Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
8. Program planning and implementation skills.
9. Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.

Physical Requirements:
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
• No or very limited physical effort required
