Department Profile:

The department has nearly 100 undergraduate social work majors (BSW), plus majors in criminology (BS) and sociology (BS, MS, Ph.D.). The department has strong ties to the African American Studies Program, Gender Studies Program, the Social Science Research Center, the National Strategic Planning & Analysis Research Center, and the Southern Rural Development Center. http://www.sociology.msstate.edu

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be committed to teaching/developing a variety of courses, conducting scholarly research, and engaging in service activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of the Ph.D. in social work or a related field and the MSW from a CSWE-accredited program are required. Applicants must have at least two years of social work practice experience, be able to teach across the curriculum, and demonstrate leadership potential.
