The primary teaching needs include courses in operational weather forecasting, satellite & radar meteorology, and severe weather, as well as other coursework aligned with the candidate’s specialization. Summer teaching opportunities for additional compensation may be available depending on enrollment.

Design studios are the heart of the School of Architecture. The Gulf Coast Community Design Studio, the Jackson Community Design Center, and other research centers at Mississippi State University provide opportunities for research collaboration. The School of Architecture and the College of Architecture, Art, and Design are making significant investments in advanced visualization and simulation through the establishment of a new state-of-the­ art visualization and simulation lab, supporting applicants whose research agenda involves one or more of the following areas: computational approaches to energy modeling, building performance simulations, geospatial visualization, building information modeling, and digital twins. The successful candidates will also play a prominent roles in the planned graduate program.
