The InforMation PRocEssing and SenSing (IMPRESS) Laboratory (http://impress.ece.msstate.edu/) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking highly motivated individuals to join as a Postdoctoral Associate. The selected candidate will primarily work in one of the following areas: artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, unmanned vehicle platforms, and sensing systems (e.g., polarimetric cameras, acoustic arrays, and mm-wave radars), applied towards detection, estimating, localization of hazards in subterranean environment. The selected candidate will assist advising the graduate students and support the analysis of each sensor modality used in the effort, the mounting and integration of the sensors on different subterranean unmanned vehicle platforms (e.g., Boston Dynamics Spot, Clearpath Husky, and SuperDroid Robots), the integration and validation of the platform communication system, and the generation of presentations and publications. |

The position of Assistant Research Professor is a non-tenure track position and will be under the administrative supervision of the Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) with specific direction by Dr. Vuk Marojevic, Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The main duties of the individual are to conduct research in artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced wireless communications. The chosen candidate will actively participate in the design and development of an enhanced Open Radio Access Network (ORAN) platform, AI controllers, and a testing framework for 6G research (https://sites.google.com/msstate.edu/oaic). He/She will engage with researchers, developers, industry, educators, and diverse local and global communities. The individual will be compensated from research contracts. |
