Position Function:
The Mississippi State University Meridian Campus is seeking an Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor for the Department of Healthcare Administration. This is a 9-month teaching track [non-tenure earning] faculty position. This faculty position will represent the Healthcare Administration Program on the Mississippi State University Starkville campus. The Department of Healthcare Administration is housed within the School of Health Professions on the MSU-Meridian campus. The successful candidate is expected to travel regularly to the Meridian campus to participate in department meetings, school meetings, faculty activities, and other programmatic and institutional responsibilities as appropriate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Teach in-person courses on the Starkville campus in Healthcare Administration areas such as Managed Care, U.S. Healthcare Systems, Ethical Issues, Law and Regulation, Healthcare Policy, and Healthcare Marketing. Teach online courses as applicable. Courses will be assigned based on programmatic needs.
2. Support program marketing and student recruitment initiatives by participating in recruitment events, community outreach activities, open houses, information sessions, and tabling events to enhance program visibility and enrollment.
3. Engage with prospective students, community partners, and other stakeholders to promote the Healthcare Administration program and contribute to student recruitment and retention efforts.
4. Mentor students and contribute to their academic, professional, and career development.
5. Provide service to the department, school, and university through committee work, accreditation efforts, community engagement, and other institutional initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited university in Healthcare Management, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field. ABD status applicants will be considered if expected completion date is before appointment.
2. Record of teaching and service at the university level.
3. Demonstrated experience in program marketing, student recruitment, enrollment growth, community outreach, and stakeholder engagement in higher education.
4. Proven ability to promote academic programs through recruitment events, open houses, high school and community college visits, tabling events, and other outreach activities that enhance program visibility and student enrollment.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across disciplines.
Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Established record of teaching applicable to Healthcare Administration for appointment at the appropriate rank.
2. Ability to build partnerships with healthcare organizations, community stakeholders, and educational institutions to support program growth, experiential learning opportunities, and workforce development.
3. Demonstrated experience with on-campus and online instruction, development, and delivery.
