Position Function:

A full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to teach courses in Entrepreneurship for Fall 2027 at the undergraduate and graduate level for the Management & Information Systems Department.

Salary Grade:  UC

For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
Engage in research that leads to publications in top journals.
Fulfill service obligations to department, college and university.

Minimum Qualifications:

Successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Management, or a closely related field. ABD candidates will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated excellence in teaching in Entrepreneurship.
Demonstrated ability to do research that leads to publications in top Management and / or Entrepreneurship journals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to conduct quality teaching.
Ability to conduct research that leads to publications in top journals.
Willingness and ability to provide appropriate level of department, college and university service.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work with students and colleagues.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.

Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer works within the College of Business in support of the Boots to Business Revenue Readiness (B2B RR) cooperative agreement funded by the US Small Business Administration (SBA). The follow-on training program known as Boots to Business - Execute and Grow, provides self-paced, on demand, entrepreneurship training to veterans and military spouses nationally. Courses focus on Business Execution and Growth. Serving under the Director of B2B RR, this position assesses training needs, develops and implements self-paced and online training modules in key areas related to entrepreneurship and small business ownership. The follow-on training highlights the shift from ideas/revenue readiness to real-world execution and sustainable growth and provides a deeper five into some specific areas such as financial literacy, financial management, marketing, and cybersecurity basics.
