Position Function:

Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, full-time, 9-month, tenure track, beginning August 16, 2027.

Salary Grade:  UC

For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.

Department Profile:

The Department of Psychology is within the College of Arts & Sciences. It houses 24 full time faculty members, 800 undergraduates, and about 40 doctoral students in our Cognitive Science and Clinical Psychology Ph.D. programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The new faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including courses in the specialty area of clinical psychology. The successful applicants will maintain a program of scholarly research, apply for external funding, teach undergraduates and graduate courses, and supervise graduate students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA, CPA, or PCSAS accredited program by the time of appointment and be eligible for eventual licensure in Mississippi.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Work takes place in an office environment.
