Position Function:

To perform duties necessary for the routine cleaning and upkeep of buildings.

Salary Grade:  CUS-2

Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges.  For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Sweep, dust mop, wet mop and scrub floors.
2. Clean windows, mirrors, walls, doors and other building surfaces.
3. Clean, wax and buff floors.
4. Clean restroom facilities and replenish supplies.
5. Collect trash and empty in trash collection containers.
6. Move furniture, equipment, supplies and other materials as requested.
7. Dust and polish furniture.
8. Report repair needs.
9. May change light bulbs and spray rooms for pets.
10. May vacuum and shampoo carpets.
11. Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to read and write. Experience must include at least 1 year at the preceding level or equivalent. Some reading & writing. Experience in custodial care maintenance.

Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or education approved by the Department of Human Resources Management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Duties and tasks are standardized. Follows detailed instruction and procedures. May work under limited supervision, and prioritize tasks independently. Ability to read and write plus 1 year. Experience must include at least 1 year at the preceding level or equivalent.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.

Occasional-Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; travel or other inconveniences have advance notice; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.

Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Job occasionally requires sitting, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting more than 100 pounds.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

The program offers detailed involvement in operations surrounding training, recovery, sport practice and games for football. The Sports Science fellow will assist the develop of team goals. Collaboration with sport coaches, strength and conditioning, performance dietetics, sports medicine, sports psychology and university administration will be priority. Continuous improvement of communication, primarily through clean measurement, organization, and data-dissemination will be necessary. The Director of Football Sports Science will orient this position's focus and provide opportunities for creativity while maintaining the integrity of the teams’ goals.
