Position Function:
This position manages the multimedia aspects of educational technology for the College of Professional and Continuing Studies, working closely with the Center for Distance Education, the Center for Innovation in Teaching Excellence, and the Center for Continuing Education in addition to the faculty of CPCS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manages the creation and maintenance of high-quality multimedia content such as videos, animations, podcasts, for interactive modules/courses.
2. Oversees project management and production staff, including training and supervision.
3. Assists with creating and presenting compelling and branded multimedia that supports CPCS’s strategic initiatives and marketing.
4. Provides instructional design support for the CPCS, CDE, CITE, and CE.
5. Partner with CPCS, CDE, CITE, and CE to analyze and implement strategies to advance initiatives through the innovative use of technology.
6. Responsible for video and multimedia production, including pre-production meetings to determine project scope, production management, and project delivery.
7. Leverages current and emerging technology in videography and editing to deliver finished products in alignment with project goals.
8. Ensures consistently high-quality standards on all video productions, including digital accessibility best practices.
9. Manages the implementation and ongoing maintenance of studio hardware and software, including any vendor relations.
10. Gathers and maintains project assets and records.
11. Maintains records of current and past projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Five years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities outlined above
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Ability to provide technical leadership and project management within area of professional expertise.
· Knowledge and understanding of the instructional systems design process.
· Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in area of expertise.
· Ability to understand and interpret educational needs and to develop effective instructional media solutions.
· Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
· Skill in examining and evaluating operations and developing and/or re-engineering operating strategies, systems, and procedures.
· Knowledge and understanding of adult education and/or distance learning technologies.
· Comprehensive knowledge of advanced instructional media production principles, methods, techniques, and standards.
· Skill in the use of computers, instructional media and graphic design programs, and relevant authoring and programming languages.
· Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to supervise and train assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
1. No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and most work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility, but on occasions include outside activities. Travel is also necessary on occasions.
2. Externally imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position.
3. Job frequently requires sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
4. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
5. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
