Position Function:
The School Psychology Program at Mississippi State University seeks applicants to join as a school psychology intern, beginning Fall 2026. This year will be a one-year, grant-funded internship position.

Department Profile:
The Department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership, Educational Psychology, and Foundations offers graduate programs (masters and doctoral) in educational psychology, school psychology, higher education leadership and counseling, an undergraduate and a masters degree in applied behavior analysis, as well as an undergraduate degree in educational psychology. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be placed at a local public school full-time (i.e., 40 hours per week) providing direct intervention to students, teacher consultations, and supplemental oversight to the school psychology practicum students. This position is a grant-funded internship and offers outstanding applied opportunities. The primary responsibility of the position will be to provide high quality and evidence-based school services within a local public school district.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed all coursework required for a degree of educational specialist of school psychology, except for their internship. Interpersonal skills for working with school personnel and a collaborative research team are highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed all coursework required for a degree of educational specialist of school psychology, except for their internship, preferably from a NASP approved training program. Theoretical orientation consistent with behavioral psychology and a record of assessment and treatment of school-aged children.
