The Department of Chemistry is housed in the Hand Laboratory Building, is part of the College of Arts and Sciences, and offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. The department has approximately 65 graduate students and 160 undergraduate chemistry majors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Undergraduate and graduate teaching, establishment of a vigorous, active research program as well as service to the department, university, and community as assigned.
Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field, with a demonstrated record of research accomplishments.
Level of appointment is commensurate on qualifications and experience.
ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):
One year Postdoctoral experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to teach chemistry at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Research experience in any area of chemistry, including, but no limited to: analytical, biological, chemical education, inorganic, materials chemistry, organic, or physical.
