This position is accountable to the Assistant Director of Admissions and Scholarships for matters of institutional policy and procedural compliance. In addition, the position reports to the Director of Advising and Transfer Partnerships for meeting desired campus strategic initiatives. As such, the Enrollment Services Coordinator contributes to attaining the desired enrollment and student success goals primarily through coordination of essential admissions, registrar, student accounts, learning resource with the secondary role of financial aid and veterans’ services. Additionally, the Coordinator serves as a liaison between the Starkville and Meridian Campuses in providing excellent service to students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates communication and collaboration among service units within the office to
promote efficiency in work and increased enrollment funnel yield rates.
2. Collaborates with the Admission Staff to process incoming applications for admission to
the university. This includes using the Banner Student System, Banner Workflow Online,
ApplicationXtender Web Access and Slate CRM system to determine admission eligibility
by evaluating applications and transcripts (including calculating grade point averages),
evaluating and verifying courses on varied transcript formats to determine admission
eligibility, determining the accreditation status of colleges, etc. and disbursing related
information to academic departments and other university officials.
3. Conducts duties in compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation regulations as they
pertain to student services provided on the Meridian Campus.
4. Collaborates with Student Account Services to assist students with their student account.
5. Collaborates with Student Account Services to assist with sponsor payments.
6. Collaborates with the Registrar’s Office to perform major changes, withdrawals, and
add/drop/audit.
7. Works closely with peers on area community college campuses to promote the
Partnership Pathway initiative and build a bridge to create a more seamless transition.
8. Demonstrates initiative in identifying needed areas of improvement and inefficiency and
develops innovative solutions to improve enrollment services.
9. Works closely with Division Heads to build the class schedule for the Meridian Campus.
10. Oversees commencement ceremony on the Meridian Campus while working in
conjunction with Commencement Coordinator on Starkville Campus and collaborates with
various offices to ensure materials are present and prepared for platform party.
11. Ensure best practices and excellent services are provided to students and faculty while
assisting the financial aid counselor with financial aid, scholarships, and veterans’ affairs.
12. Supervises the campus switchboard and personnel in fielding calls and welcoming guests
to campus as well as ensuring those guests are directed appropriately.
13. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Admissions and Scholarships.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic Microsoft applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two to five years’ experience in enrollment/student services.
• Demonstrated success in reaching desired enrollment goals.
