The Mississippi State University Department of Kinesiology is housed within the College of Education and features numerous exceptional areas of study for graduate and undergraduate students. Undergraduate students can choose one of four concentrations: Clinical Exercise Physiology, Health Fitness Studies, Sports Studies, and Physical Education and Coaching. At the graduate level, the department offers master's degree concentrations in Sport Administration, Sport Pedagogy, Disability Studies, and Exercise Physiology, and PhD degree concentrations in Sport Studies and Exercise Science.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties include providing service to the department, university and profession, and mentoring undergraduate students (including academic advisement).
Engage in professional, university and community service activities where applicable.
The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in sport management or an affiliated field, have experience working with business and industry partners, and have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):
A master’s degree in sport management or an affiliated field, experience working with business and industry partners. A background in analytics or advanced statistics is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience working with business and industry partners, have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment. A background in analytics or advanced statistics is preferred.
