Position Function:

Provides oversight to accounts payable processes and administers a variety of budgeting and accounting duties.

Salary Grade:  13

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Process all accounts payable direct pays for the Athletic Business Office (ABO).
2. Process all deposits for the ABO.
3. Assist with financial aid distribution process.
4. Reconcile and assist with fiscal administration for the department/unit, including but not limited to budgets, contracts, payroll, employment, travel and/or purchasing.
5. Maintain an efficient system of receiving, posting, and depositing revenue and receiving, verifying, posting, and processing vouchers for payment of goods and services.
6. Process miscellaneous HR related hiring paperwork.
7. Help with reconciling division financial records with university accounting records.
8. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
9. Maintain files and records in support of accounting data.
10. Assist Senior Associate AD/CFO, Associate AD for Business Operations, Assistant AD for Business Operations, and Director of Business Operations with projects as assigned.
11. Other business office related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Sports Management or other business related field with one (1) year of experience in collegiate athletics, professional sports, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Sports Management, or other business related field.
2. Knowledge of applicable rules and standards of Southeastern Conference (SEC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge and previous experience using Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to operate computer keyboard and 10-key electronic calculator.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
• No or very limited physical effort required.
