Educational opportunities toward this end include daily case rounds, weekly journal club, weekly textbook reading assignments, monthly hospital-wide morbidity, and mortality rounds, and twice-yearly mock board examinations. Residents will present in-house seminars twice yearly. Presentation of original research at a national meeting by the end of the residency is encouraged.

We provide communications training to all levels of our hospital including house officers which is provided as graduate level course work. MSU-CVM boasts a variety of specialty services including internal medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, neurology, diagnostic imaging, dentistry, critical care, clinical pathology, anatomical pathology, oncology, ophthalmology, theriogenology, and dermatology as well as a 24/7 emergency department staffed by senior emergency veterinarians.
