Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
MSU is in the process of adding the EdS level NASP approved school psychology program to the Meridian Campus. Primary responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate teaching and advisement; supervision of field experience; and providing service and outreach. Faculty work closely with area schools and clinical settings. The program is based on the scientist practitioner model with strong emphasis on training in the utilization of empirically based assessment, intervention, and consultation methods. Students In the program obtain a Specialist degree in Education with School Psychology concentration.
Doctorate in School Psychology or a closely related field; eligibility for Mississippi or national credential as a school psychologist; demonstration of excellence in teaching, and /or service (Associate Teaching Professor) or demonstration of potential for excellence in these areas (Assistant Teaching Professor). ABD's will be considered if the degree will be completed by August 15, 2023. Level of appointment is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
BCBA license; experience with NASP approval process; minimum of 3 years of experience as a school psychologist; experience with teaching at the graduate level; experience with teaching virtually or online.
