We are seeking a motivated individual to serve as the Enhanced Clinical Practicum (ECP) program manager. The purpose of the ECP program is to augment the clinical training provided in our teaching hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory practice. The desired individual will work closely with the program director to coordinate experiences between veterinary students and participating veterinary practices. They will also work closely with other staff members to ensure academic program vitality.

Primary roles:
• Assist students in choosing practices and work with Academic Affairs staff in assuring academic requirements
• Serve as a liaison with participating clinics and develop communication plans to maintain clinic relationships
• Coordinate and assist with clinic trainings and site visits
• Provide ECP program data management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist with clinic trainings and site visits
• Develop training materials related to core program objectives
• Document educational objectives and outcomes, including clinical competencies as required by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (COE)
• Assist clinics in maintaining COE accreditation standards
• Student evaluation and assessment data management
• Clinic evaluation and assessment data management
• Coordinate ECP implementation with other units within the CVM
• Assist with scheduling rotations
• Maintain web portal with current and accurate information for clinics and students
• Schedule clinic site visits by CVM clinic coordinator
• Manage time-sensitive submission of evaluations
• Coordinate with faculty, staff, students and others to ensure open and consistent messaging regarding the ECP program
• Maintain student and clinic files and databases
• Performs miscellaneous job duties within the College as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Communication, Agriculture, Life Sciences, or other degrees related to this position.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:
• MS degree in Education, Communication, Agriculture, Life Sciences, or other degrees related to this position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge and understanding of MSU policies and procedures, including knowledge of BANNER system, travel policies and procedures, purchasing guidelines.
• Experience working with academic software such as Canvas or eValue
• Experience advising at the professional/graduate level and above
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking experience
• Experience working in a veterinary clinical setting, or knowledge of veterinary procedures and practices

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Outstanding organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and establish priorities
• Attention to detail
• Experience with software:
     o Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
     o Ability to create forms, mail merge, ability to create visual aids such as presentations, flyers, videos
     o Adobe
     o Shared resources (OneDrive, Teams, Dropbox, etc.)
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
• Ability to travel on short in-state and out-of-state trips which may require an occasional overnight stay
• Maintain code of conduct including student and clinic confidentiality
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
• Ability to coordinate a wide variety of tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize work functions with attention to details
• Must be honest, dependable and able to meet deadlines
