The Coordinator of Orientation & Campus Events will report to the Director of Orientation & Events and assist with organizing, promoting, and implementing Orientation, Spring and Fall Campus Events, and the Orientation Leader program.

Salary Grade:  13

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in planning, scheduling, and implementing of on-campus recruiting events and orientation programs
2. Set-up events in Slate, our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including keying in monetary charges to event details allowing prospective students and guests to register for upcoming events on campus
3. Responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining websites for new and current events within the Office of Orientation and Events
4. Assist with the Orientation Leader recruitment and selection process in order to annually select a new Orientation Leader team
5. Teach the Staff Development class that cultivates a creative learning environment for Orientation Leaders to grow and work as a team as well as serve the community and university
6. Work collaboratively with Academic College representatives to facilitate their participation in events
7. Partner with the Recruitment and Marketing team within Office of Admissions and Scholarships on communication efforts, marketing needs and publications for events and orientation
8. Ensure effective communication with prospective students and their parents to provide the best possible experience for guests
9. Organization of duties for staff during an event to best serve prospective students and families, ensuring the events run smoothly
10. Responsible for office correspondence with prospective students and staff

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years' experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent administrative, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, including experience in supervision
Well-developed interpersonal, teamwork, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity
Demonstrated ability to manage/coordinate multiple tasks
Independent self-starter with strong work ethic

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

No unusual physical requirements. Requires limited lifting of files and records and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
Frequent-External imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
