Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean, this position is responsible for recruiting top students to the Shackouls Honors College. This involves crafting data-driven strategies, building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, overseeing the admissions process, and representing the university at events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design and execute strategic recruitment campaigns to generate inquiries, applications, and enrollments.
2. Cultivate relationships with schools, colleges, and community organizations to establish robust recruitment channels
3. Coordinate Honors outreach efforts in partnership with Admissions, OPA, and other units across campus
4. Partner with other university units to coordinate recruitment/enrollment for the Presidential Endowed Scholars Program
5. Develop and maintain an annual comprehensive recruitment plan capturing goals, strategies, metrics
6. Actively research and incorporate up-to-date recruitment methods
7. Provide detailed reports and analytics to leadership on progress against enrollment objectives
8. Manage targeted communication campaigns for prospective and admitted student segments
9. Develop compelling promotional content and campaigns highlighting Honors offerings
10. Monitor and maintain Honors’ digital presence as it pertains to recruitment and outreach
11. Collaborate with marketing and creative teams on branded recruitment assets and campaigns
12. Participate in university committees focused on student recruitment and enrollment management.
13. Attend conferences, workshops, and training to enhance strategic recruitment and outreach expertise.
14. Serve as the advisor for the Honors Ambassador program
15. May supervise student workers and/or graduate assistants. May be responsible for training, assisting, or assigning tasks to others.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience (yrs.): Three years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Background of honors education, student affairs, and/or academic affairs. Knowledge of basic recruitment practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills and personal computer proficiency required.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Requires frequent travel for recruitment activities.
• No unusual physical requirements. Requires limited lifting of files and records and nearly
all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
• Frequent external imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions
influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond
a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to
position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or
stress on a regular basis.
• Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with
hands.
