This position will work as a team member in Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) at Mississippi State University. The Enterprise Front-End Web Developer supports the University community by developing, coordinating, and managing enterprise web sites, applications, and data by providing critical information services to our clients.

Salary Grade:  16

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead technical projects by developing project plans including scope, deliverables, and milestones and providing status updates to managers.
• Design and develop templates, themes, and code libraries that extend and enhance the EIS web environment.
• Train end users or technical support staff to use a wide variety of Enterprise Applications.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior team members.
• Design and develop web sites and web applications for projects of all sizes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Graphic Design or related field.
• Four years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in full system lifecycle development including requirements gathering, systems analysis, systems development, programming, troubleshooting, testing, and implementation of large enterprise systems
• Ability to analyze and develop touchpoints between enterprise applications and ancillary applications, developing an understanding of web services, APIs, and other integration technologies.
• Significant customer service experience

Any equivalent combination of related education and related experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four years’ experience working with Drupal systems
• Four years’ experience working in web design/development systems in the higher education environment.
• Experience in full stack development using languages and frameworks such as Bootstrap, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, PHP, and MySQL
