This project manager position will work with senior ORED leaders coordinating and guiding adoption and promotion of AI, data visualization tools, and other technology innovations that improve division productivity and efficiencies as well as the Center for Cyber Education leading STEM and cyber outreach events. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator who is creative and passionate about helping others learn new technologies.

Salary Grade:  15

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote and advocate for the adoption of AI technologies, including Microsoft Copilot, within the Division, the university and possibly other external stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and data management technologies and trends, and share insights with the university community.
• Develop and deliver presentations, workshops, webinars, and training sessions to educate staff and others about AI technologies.
• Collaborate with various departments to incorporate AI strategies into their workflows and projects.
• Identify AI implementation opportunities and facilitate the integration process.
• Communicate effectively the benefits and challenges of AI technology to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work closely with the leadership team and the adoption team to understand and promote AI best practices.
• Lead the creation, planning, and execution of K-12 Stem outreach events across the state including but not limited to AI, robotics, coding, VR, and drones.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of cybersecurity awareness events across the state.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred programs of study include business management, marketing, communications, or related fields)
• At least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in job description

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree (preferred programs of study include business management, marketing, communications, or related fields)
• At least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in job description, specifically experience selling services or products
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a business or non-profit environment, preferably in a high-level management or supervisory role
• Previous experience designing programs

• Proven skills in time management, multi-tasking, meeting deadlines and moving projects from inception to completion
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
• Capacity to work effectively with a wide variety of constituencies
• Ability to work autonomously and independently
• Exceptional work effort and highly motivated
• Ability to recognize patterns and predict problems
• Ability to identify solutions or alternative approaches
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Power Point
• Proven organizational skills with a willingness to assume responsibilities and take initiative; ability to be a team player
