Position Function:
Provide leadership of all creative and digital story-telling aspects of the football program. Leadership role with primary responsibilities for overall creative direction/ideation and oversight of football creative video, design and content staff. This person will be responsible for maintaining a high level of quality while promoting Mississippi State Football in all facets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. This position will be directly responsible for the quality of all graphic, video and social media content in dealing with football recruiting and overall publicity. In addition, it will consistently maintain the standards of the Athletic Department in working closely with the Communications, Creative, and Marketing Staff regarding promotion, branding, marketing and messaging.
2. Produce, oversee, and implement video, design and creative direction of all recruiting, marketing and social media materials for football department.
3. Produce high-quality content and marketing pieces that communicate a strategic football and university message to a broad audience in many different media formats (such as videos, graphics, logos, stationary, brochures, direct mail solicitations, print ads, posters, newsletters, mailers, e-mail campaigns).
4. Organize, oversee, and implement all phases of the video and design production process. Such tasks include creating production schedules, art and video direction and design, photography coordination and styling, print coordination, pre-press production, four-color proofing, and on-press supervision or press checks.
5. Successfully manage multiple projects concurrently, while meeting project budget and deadlines.
6. Provide insight to push football program forward with emerging trends in social, digital media, as well as in-venue entertainment.
7. Prepare internal content packages for football team functions and/or approved distribution on the Athletic Department website and social platforms.
8. Oversee full-time assistants, student and internship workers specifically working in production of creative content. Will be responsible for the quality and production level of these groups.
9. Performs related duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and Senior Associate Athletics Director/Communications and Content.
Supervisory Responsibility
Provides guidance to student workers, interns, and full-time assistant(s).

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Communications, Videography, Photography, or related field
- Three (3) or more years of experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of principles and practices of video and graphic design.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to create and produce video and graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment.
• Knowledge of graphic layout and photographic requirements and procedures.
• Skills in the utilization of specified computerized video and graphic design programs.
• Ability to analyze graphic and technical information and create interpretive illustrations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to analyze and interpret user graphic requirements.
• Ability to develop print and/or reproduction specifications.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
• No unusual physical requirements. Requires limited lifting of files and records and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
• Frequent external imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one’s control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
• Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
