Assist the Associate AD, Player Personnel/General Manager with the overall coordination of player evaluations, recruiting and roster management.

Salary Grade:  13

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Initial evaluator of high school prospects, with an emphasis on assigned position groups.
2. Organize recruiting travel for assigned coaches.
3. Assist personnel staff with all recruiting needs, including film cut ups and organization, database management, coaches travel, notes from off-campus recruiting, etc.).
4. Organize recruiting communication plans (phone calls and text plans).
5. Assist with the management of student interns (Film Management, Database Management, Visit Responsibilities, Assistant Coach Assignments).
6. Maintain relationships with prospects.
7. Maintain relationships with high school coaches within recruiting footprint.
8. Assist with film cut ups and organization in XOS database.
9. Other duties assigned by Associate AD, Player Personnel/GM or Senior Director of Player Personnel.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will supervise student workers.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience: One year

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• General knowledge of University, SEC and NCAA policies and regulations.
• Ability to communicate with various constituents, students, coaches, and administrators.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and interactive skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
• Proficiency in the use of computer/social media, and communications support of the MSU Football program.
• Ability to work in a cooperative work environment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekend hours.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Frequent externally imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
• Job occasionally requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
• Job occasionally requires standing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and
lifting up to 50 pounds
• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
