Time-limited position for a Visiting Assistant Professor to engage in high-impact, innovative teaching of core specialization in undergraduate lecture & studio-based courses in the Building Construction Science Program.

Department Profile:
The Department of Building Construction Science in the College of Architecture, Art, and Design utilizes a core curriculum of eight different six-credit, project based studios that integrate multiple construction content areas coordinated to advance integrated design/construction education. Through its innovative approach to interdisciplinary education in the environment, the Building Construction Science Program produces collaborative-minded construction professionals - critical thinkers who rigorously engage new challenges in the rapidly changing construction and building environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach at various levels of studio and lecture courses and participate in service duties as assigned by the Department Head. Successful candidate will have a 9-month appointment. The faculty workload consists of the teaching equivalent of twelve (12) credit-hours per semester.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Construction Management.
Evidence of teaching construction courses.
Strong proficiency in oral, written, and digital communication.
Experience with modern digital educational tools and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of successful teaching of undergraduate and/or graduate construction courses.
Evidence of high-impact teaching and active student engagement, such as through interactive projects, interdisciplinary teamwork, or practical industry collaborations.
Evidence of teaching emerging and transformative topics in the built environment, such as AI-facilitated education, BIM, digital twins and automation.
Ability to develop innovative curriculum integrating technology-driven approaches for enhanced student learning and professional preparedness.
Evidence of active research and industry outreach engagement.
Evidence of US construction work experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Successful candidate will have teaching experience in construction courses at least at the undergraduate levels.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Minimum physical efforts. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
