Vacancy for a part-time, time-limited summer intern to assist with promoting performances and events at the MSU Riley Center by developing a weekly social media marketing plan, website improvements and generating ideas for audience engagement.

Employees hired into intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.

Salary Grade:  UC

For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.

The Mississippi State University Riley Center is a Performing Arts and Conference Center that opened in 2006 in Meridian, Mississippi. We host more than 25 performing arts events as well as over 100 conference events each year. Visit www.msurileycenter.com for more information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with promoting performances and events at the MSU Riley Center by developing a weekly social media marketing plan, website improvements, and generating ideas for audience engagement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in online promotion and analytics are essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student, returning in the fall of 2025

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Should be organized, enthusiastic, and motivated. Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in online promotion and analytics are essential.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
